If you’re planning to visit Disney with an infant, a baby, or a small toddler, a stroller is a must-have for the day. Otherwise, kids might wear themselves out too early. Even preschool-aged kids can benefit from having a stroller around when they start feeling tired.

While you can bring your own stroller with you, it can be tough to travel with such bulky luggage. There’s also a chance that your stroller won’t meet Disney’s strict size requirements. Renting a stroller through Disney is often much easier than bringing your own.

Here, we’re going to cover everything you need to know about Disneyland and Disney World stroller rental. We’ll discuss where to find a stroller, what kind of strollers are available, and how much you can expect to pay for the day.

About Disneyland & Disney World Stroller Rental

Disney provides stroller rental services in all of its parks, including both Disney World and Disneyland. Parents can visit any rental site and pay a small fee to use a stroller for the day. At closing, they must return it to a rental site before leaving.

Disney offers single-day rentals, or you can save money by opting to prepay for a length of stay rental. If you pay upfront for multiple days, you can take advantage of price breaks for all stroller sizes. You’ll also ensure that you have a stroller available for the day. While it’s unlikely to happen, there have been occasions where Disney has run out of available rental strollers.

If you pay for a length of stay rental, keep in mind that you’ll still have to return your stroller at the end of your time in the park. When you return the next day, you can display your receipt for a hassle-free rental.

You may want to ensure you plan ahead to minimize your walk back to the car or hotel. You can opt for a preferred parking pass to park closer to the front gate, or you can use shuttle services to reach your parking block. If your family is staying at a Disney hotel, you can hop on a complimentary shuttle to take you back to your room.

Where Can I Rent a Stroller?

Disney World has stroller rental locations scattered throughout its parks and resorts.

There are five Disney World stroller rental spots, including:

  • The Disney Springs Resort
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park
  • The Magic Kingdom Park
  • EPCOT

You cannot remove Disney strollers from Disney World parks. If you decide to park-hop for the day, you’ll have to return your stroller and rent a new one at each different location.

Disneyland doesn’t have a stroller rental available inside either of the parks, but you can find one located to the east of the Main Entrance. After paying your rental fees you can take your stroller inside both parks.

What Types of Strollers Does Disney Have Available?

Disney has two types of strollers available for parents, including single and double seat options. Each stroller is equipped with safety features such as a sunshade and safety belts. Strollers also feature ample storage space for water bottles, backpacks, baby bags, and more.

Single strollers are recommended for riders weighing 50 pounds or less. They’re ideal for holding one young child at a time but may not have enough space for bigger kids.

Double strollers can carry up to 100 pounds and have an extra-wide seat. They can carry two small children or one older child without trouble.

If your child needs a bigger stroller, you can find plenty of third-party rental services available close to both Disneyland and Disney World. Just remember that Disney imposes strict size requirements and will not allow strollers larger than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long inside the parks.

The Cost of Renting a Disney Stroller

Renting a stroller at Disney World or Disneyland is easy, affordable, and may save you money on oversize baggage fees. You can pay a flat daily rate for your stroller, or save money by paying upfront for your entire stay.

Renting a stroller at Disney World costs $15 per day for a single stroller or $13 per day with a length of stay booking. Double strollers run slightly more expensive, costing $31 per day or $27 per day with Disney’s length of stay pricing.

Renting a stroller at Disneyland costs $18 per day for a single stroller and $36 per day for a double. The park does not offer length of stay rates.

At some rental locations, you may have to pay a refundable $100 credit card deposit before you can use a Disney stroller. As long as you bring the stroller back in good condition, you should get your deposit back in full.

Returns, Replacements, and Refunds

When you’re done with your stroller, you should return it to the appropriate rental location to avoid any charges or fees. You will also receive any credit card deposits back if the stroller is in good condition.

If you misplace your stroller at a Disney park, you can get a replacement by showing your receipt at a rental location. You can also get a new stroller if anything is faulty with your current one.

If you use the stroller, even for only a short while, you will not be entitled to a refund. However, you will be able to use strollers from any Disney rental location during opening hours.

Stroller Safety Tips

Disney parks have several regulations in place for parents using strollers. It’s important to adhere to the park rules, or you may risk getting expelled without a refund. When renting a stroller at Disneyland or Disney World, remember:

  • You can’t use strollers on escalators or inside parking lot trams.
  • You must leave strollers at the gate for most rides.
  • Remove all valuables from unattended strollers, as Disney is not responsible for stolen goods.
  • Adding colorful flair to your rental stroller, such as a ribbon or luggage tag, can make it easier to spot.
  • It’s a good idea to clean strollers with an antiseptic wipe before use.
  • Make sure the sunscreen is drawn to protect children on sunny days, especially during afternoon hours.

As long as you follow Disney’s rules, you should have no problem navigating the parks with a stroller in tow.
