Discover the Disney Gifts Outlets
With over 50 different stores to explore at the Disney Springs Resort, you can turn your trip to Disney into a shopping spree. The stores are full of unique merchandise, and you’ll often see items and collections pop up.
But have you ever wondered what happened to unsold items? Because Disney rotates items regularly, the stores at Disney Springs and in other areas of the parks end up with many unsold products.
Disney sends all these items to three outlet stores. Two of these stores aren’t very far from the parks, and you can find amazing deals on a wide range of items.
Disney’s Character Warehouse at the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets
The first Disney outlet is the Disney’s Character Warehouse at the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. The store’s address is 8200 Vineland Avenue #1252, Orlando, FL.
The Orlando Premium Outlets are within walking distance of the Disney Parks, and you can even stay at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club Tuscany Village Hotel to be even closer to this Disney outlet.
This outlet mall opens at 10 or 11 A.M. depending on the day and closes between 7 and 9 P.M. There are over 160 stores and dining options to explore, and you’ll find the Disney’s Character Warehouse in the center of the mall, between the Under Armour store and the food court.
Disney’s Character Warehouse at the Orlando International Premium Outlets
There is a second Disney outlet further away from the first outlet and the parks. It’s approximately 20 minutes away from the parks if you take Interstate 4, but the drive to this Disney outlet Orlando is worth it since it’s usually less busy.
If you don’t have a vehicle to drive to the outlet, your options include booking an Uber or riding the bus. Your best option is to take bus route 350 at N Garland Ave and W Amelia St near the Disney parks. Get off at Destination Parkway and Tradeshow Boulevard after approximately 20 minutes.
You can then walk to the Jeff Fuqua Boulevard S, and Quick Turnaround Road stop and take bus route 42 until the Bass Pro Shops/Outdoor World stop that will bring you within two minutes of the outlet entrance.
The address of this second location is 4969 International Drive #3E11C, Orlando, FL. The opening hours are the same as the other Disney outlet. The store is between the GAP Outlet and the food court.
While you’re at the Orlando International Premium Outlets, you can explore more than 180 different stores.
Disney’s Character Warehouse at Sawgrass Mills
There is a third Disney outlet store in Sunrise, FL. Sunrise is a little over three hours away from Orlando, and you can get there by following U.S. Route 441. It can be a fun road trip, and driving down to Sunrise will put you right next to Hollywood and Miami.
This third outlet is smaller than the other two. It’s inside Sawgrass Mills Mall, and the address is 12801 W Sunrise Blvd, Sunrise, FL.
While it’s much farther from the parks, visiting this outlet if you’re in the area is worth it since it’s less busy than the other stores, and you might find deals other shoppers have overlooked.
Preparing Your Visit to a Disney Gifts Outlet
Make the most out of your trip to one of the Disney’s Character Warehouses by following a few Disney gifts outlet shopping tips.
The Virtual Queue System
The Disney’s Character Warehouse that is closest to the parks at the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets can get extremely busy. As a result, the store uses a virtual queue system.
Once you get to the store, an employee will provide you with instructions to get into the virtual queue with your phone. You’ll receive a notification when you can go inside the store. However, some shoppers in large groups report having to wait in a second queue after receiving their text notification.
You should count on waiting two to three hours in the virtual queue before being able to get into the store. There is plenty to do in the outlets with all the stores and dining options.
The store seems to be less busy in the morning and late at night, but with the parks, hotels, and resorts nearby, shoppers are constantly flocking to this gift store.
The good news is that you can avoid the virtual queue system by heading to the second location at the Orlando International Premium Outlets. The 20-minute drive will save you time compared to the virtual wait line.
Exploring the Inventory
Unfortunately, the different Disney’s Character Warehouse locations don’t have an inventory available online. It can be difficult to predict what you’ll find in stock and what the best deals will be since inventory changes often. It seems that the inventory changes every four to six weeks.
If you’re looking for a specific item, your best bet is to contact the different stores and ask if they have this product in stock. There are no guarantees that you’ll get an answer, but it’s worth a try, especially if you call around 10 or 11 A.M. when the store opens, and employees might not be busy yet.
Here are the phone numbers for the different Disney’s Character Warehouses:
- You can contact the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets location at 407-238-0703.
- The number for the Orlando International Premium Outlets location is 401-354-3255.
- If you’re willing to drive to Sunrise to find a specific item, call the Sawgrass Mills location at 954-846-7161.
How To Find the Best Deals At The Disney Gifts Outlet
Deals and product availability will vary a lot from one visit to another. However, there are a few tips you can follow to find great deals.
Go Early in the Day
Plan your visit to a Disney’s Character Warehouse as early as possible. The stores open at 10 or 11 A.M.
If you can get inside the store early in the day, you’ll be able to find the best deals available before other shoppers grab them.
Take the Time to Explore the Store
Shopping at a Disney outlet store can feel a little overwhelming. There is a huge selection of products, including toys, apparel, accessories, and more.
Plan on spending at least a couple of hours, so you have time to explore the store and make sure you don’t miss anything.
Plan Your Visit After New Releases
There is no official information on how often Disney restocks its outlet stores. However, it seems that the parks would send merchandise to the outlets to make room for new collections.
You’ll be more likely to find great deals if you time your visit to an outlet store with the release of a new collection. Disney is big on seasonal merchandising, especially for events like Christmas or Halloween. Visiting the outlet stores around these holidays means you’ll likely find deals on the products that ended up at the outlet stores to make room for seasonal items.
Movie releases can also result in products ending up at the outlet locations to make room for new merch! For instance, the upcoming release of Lightyear in June could result in old Toy Story merch ending up at the outlet stores.
Final Thoughts – The Disney Gifts Outlet
Visiting a Disney gifts outlet is a great way to find deals on licensed merchandise, but keep in mind that these stores can get busy.
Planning to shop at a Disney’s Character Warehouse can make your trip to Orlando more fun, but make sure to get in the virtual queue early or consider driving to the other locations.
