Love is in the Ocean Air at Malliouhana, Auberge Resort

Escape the cold this winter and stay at one of Anguilla’s most luxurious beachside hideaway, Malliouhana, Auberge Resorts Collection.  When it opened over 30 years ago, Malliouhana put the island of Anguilla on the map as one of the most romantic getaways.

As part of recent multi-million dollar enhancements, new suites overlook the sugar-white sands along the azure-blue sea at Meads Bay and Turtle Cove. New to the resort are spacious beachfront accommodations, an infinity pool that cascades down to the sea below, and a toe-in-the-sand beach bar.

Couples can sit in lounge chairs with a tropical drink and good book, amidst the privacy of Turtle Cove, or take a long walk along the mile-long Meads Bay Beach.

The beachfront resort offers 63 rooms, including a new two-bedroom beachfront suite on Turtle Cove, with a tropical landscaped portico, inviting garden patio, private plunge pool and bathroom with free standing tub.

There are three new suites with stunning views above the new spa. The suites join eight new oceanfront rooms and four garden view rooms, all of which are designed in the resorts signature shades of mango, white and mint with pops of saffron and vibrant Haitian artwork.

The Spa at Malliouhana debuts six new treatment rooms and a brand-new pool overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Meads Bay. Taking inspiration from the Caribbean’s diversity of nature, the signature Tropical Euphoria treatment is a two-hour relaxing journey that includes creating a custom scrub at the mixology bar and a foot ritual followed by a coconut milk bath and massage.

Anguilla’s fresh culinary scene can be enjoyed while sitting in tiki-style beach shacks and a fine dining signature restaurant Celeste. As the sun sets, couples can experience a uniquely intimate and romantic dinner at the open-air Celeste restaurant. The menu offers Caribbean-inspired classics such as fresh red snapper with tamarind glaze and sweet potato dumplings; conch curry with coconut dumplings and sweet peppers, and for dessert Pyrat Rum Baba with papaya ice cream and crystallized lime.

During Valentine’s weekend, couples can enjoy an ‘Ocean of Love Dinner for Two’. Receive a bottle of sparkling wine to share as you indulge in a rich selection of locally-inspired seafood dishes and decadent desserts. Afterward, dance to live Caribbean jazz, while sipping rosé champagne to round up a romantic evening in Anguilla.
